Since I was in my early 20s, I have always enjoyed aerobic exercise. A good run was a happy experience that made me feel great. My motivation in starting strength training was different-fear. When I was diagnosed in my early 50s with osteoporosis, I was advised that resistance training would be a good fit for my bones and I was determined to do everything I could to keep the condition from advancing. Training with Jojo, since 2005, has helped me to embrace strength training as an essential fitness activity with many benefits.
Joanne has been in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years, and is currently employed as a personal trainer at The Claremont Club, Claremont California. Joanne works with all populations and specializes in working with women entering perimenopause or menopause.
